Sorting files when viewing
Gabi Reinhard
I agree with you. The Files Manager is already very good and the work of the IT people has been worthwhile but there is still work to be done.
For example, what does the column "Used in" mean? "Embeded in" obviously not, because nothing is shown even for files that are embedded. Even sorting would not help here.
In the column "Last Modifier" sometimes something is shown, but mostly not.
The management of (in our case about 9000) files is not possible. Each individual file must be opened to determine whether it can be deleted or if it is embedded.

Gabi Reinhard: So "Used In" actually is the number of time the file has been used in a PUBLISHED article. I had to have an "official" HelpJuice meeting to figure that out because I thought my file manager (or me) was broken. Basically if the item is not showing a used in number it is not embedded. The only way to "embed" the file is to publish the question/article/whatever you call it. This should hopefully help with any sort of clean up projects you have going on.
Also if you remove a file from the File Manager but leave it in the article, the link/PDF preview from the deleted file remains active and unbroken. Maybe that is causing some of the issue?
Looking at your screenshot though, now I am confused. All our files that show embedded also show "Used In".

Maureen Angelotti:Thank you for your reply and your information :-).
For your information: all our articles are published. We do not use the draft status.
Various things are not displayed correctly in our Files Manager - in August I sent this image to the support team with these questions:
- "Recently Deleted" shows the number 205, when opened it shows the number 79.
- "Videos" shows -17, when opened it contains only two files, the number stays at -17.
- "Storage Used" shows 0% and "-154105186 bytes of Unlimited". Is this correct?
The support submitted it as a ticket to the development team. Now the situation is still unchanged, I still have to open each file to see if it is embedded or not ... and that with over 9000 files ...
I can't imagine that this only occurs in our Files Manager.
