Software documentation version support. Different answers depending on what version of the software the user is using.

* We have different versions of our software.
* For example v1, v2, v3, etc.
* Some users might want a page for v2 while another want to look up v3, or just "latest"
* Even if I can put content in different root folders... and filter the manual navigation to a specific location... The AI search and helpbar still show results from all folders.
* I want a dropdown (or at least a filter) that can filter search results and AI answers depending on what version is selected in that dropdown or filter.
* Most users also want to select version first and then ask a question so it would be preferable to have a dropdown showing with version visible at all times.
* Different versions could be mapped to different root-folder or perhaps article tags or perhaps even a dedicated version field or whatever.
* Just some support or work around for this would be much appreciated.

Not sure if these will be helpful but here are some ideas I might consider:
- If your users have accounts, can they be classified into groups for the version of the software relevant to them? Then, you could assign the group(s) to the appropriate articles. That way their search results will only list results they have access to.
- Helpjuice offers a customization option for a category selection on the home screen before entering a search. If you have this option and articles categorized by version, users can select which category/version they want their search to apply to.
Hope you find a helpful solution!
