Kindly ask you to add SAVE button and not to rely on autosave as sometimes due technical or internet issues the articles are lost.

As a previous comment stated, I believe what you're looking for lives here (see attached screenshot) in the top-right part of the page. Save Draft and Publish are both ways to manually save your progress.

This already exists — both the "SAVE DRAFT" and "PUBLISH" buttons act this way when clicked.
