Improvement to 'also display in' feature

The option to publish an article in multiple categories is great, however, when accessing an article front the front-end, it puts you in the category of the 'main' category the article is housed in, which is a confusing user experience. It would make more sense if it retained the category you're in and only the article contents is the article you've chosen to display in multiple categories.
For example: I have an article called 'add items' in both main categories 'Quotes' and 'Invoices'. But the main category (in the back-end) where the article is housed is 'Quotes'.
In the front end, I go to 'Invoices' and click the article. While the article contents is the same, the back and next buttons refer to that of the 'Quotes' category; same for the breadcrumb at the top; same for the 'articles in this section' (if this is configured), which is confusing for the user as they were not in the 'Quotes' category to start with.
