Add “Appear in TOC?” Toggle Option for Accordions in the Editor

Currently, accordion titles are automatically treated as headings and included in the TOC.
When headings are manually removed from the TOC, they reappear after editing and republishing, forcing repetitive manual cleanup.
Managing large numbers of pages daily becomes inefficient due to the lack of a way to exclude certain accordions from the TOC.
Suggested Improvement:
Add an option in the editor for each accordion with a toggle or checkbox labeled “Appear in TOC?” (on/off). This setting would determine whether the accordion title is included in the TOC, allowing creators more control and eliminating repetitive manual edits.
Impact:
This change would save time for editors who frequently update bulk content.

I like the idea of the option box in the accordion.
My additional suggestion would be to treat the titles of callouts and accordions the same way.
The question also arises as to whether this should also apply to the tabs.
That would mean:
• The title is formatable (currently possible with callouts, not possible with accordions), see video -- and also not with tabs
• An option box labeled “Show in table of contents?” to disable/enable display in the table of contents (currently not available)
• Another possibility: Table of contents - Enable preselection of headings, see screenshot (a suggestion from me from 2021 and another from 2022)
Here are some more suggestions on this topic; besides these, there are certainly more. Perhaps all ideas should be collected first.

The ability to choose which heading level to format each accordion title would also be appreciated. Currently, the option in the toolbar is inactive/greyed out when accordion titles are selected.

Chartreuse Mouse It really is annoying that the accordion titles are only able to be Heading 3.
We definitely need a way to toggle whether or not the accordion title will be in the TOC, and an option to select what kind of heading it will be treated as so that it can be nested appropriately.
It's also important to note that TOC links are now affected. TOC links for the different sections have a number at the end according to what number heading it is in the TOC. I have had to update a lot of hyperlinks for TOC sections to match the new TOC links from accordion titles being included.

Daffodil Alligator Yes, Val! This is how we noticed this "improvement" in the first place because a lot of our anchor links stopped working and then I realised why. It's a combination of the unnecessary numbers at the end of headings and this addition where all accordions are now in the TOC that has caused this. If headings didn't have numbers at the end, we wouldn't have the broken anchor links. I raised a suggestion to remove the numbers at the end of headings: https://feedback.helpjuice.com/feature-requests/p/dont-use-numbers-for-anchor-links
