[New Editor] Code blocks between numbered list items break numbering sequence

When inserting a code block between items in a numbered list, the numbering sequence breaks.

Instead of continuing the numbering properly after the code block, the list restarts at 1.

You should be able to restart or continue numbering if you add an image or text in a sequenced list etc. that breaks the sequence. Right now, you cant select the number to restart with. This is a basic function that absolutely has to be added.
